Divine Baptist Church and Churchland Baptist Church
are Building Bridges Together
Pastors Tommy Smith and Dan Koger first met in 2006 and, at the time, building bridges across the racial divide was not possible. However, the two pastors recently reconnected and found that their two congregations are ready to set out on a new adventure together.
We are looking to love one another.
We are looking to serve the Lord together in our community.
We are looking to heal the broken places and relationship across our community.

Free Meals in February
On February 17 Building Bridges served nearly 100 free meals and then donated another 40 meals to the HER Shelter thanks to Mercy Chef. On February 20 thanks to Operation Blessing and generation donations from church members we served another 320 meals to the community, for a total of over 450 meals. Creating UNITY in the CommUNITY through serving! See the photos below.
Unity Event Meal
We enjoyed serving the community with friends from Divine and Churchland Baptist! In addition to those individuals who drove by to pick up meals, we were able to bless volunteers at the Oasis Food Pantry and at Operation Blessing.
