Important Update!!
Churchland Baptist is re-opened for in-person worship, Sunday mornings at 11am, and will be re-opening for Sunday morning Bible Study beginning on June 6th at 9:45am.
Churchland Baptist Re-Opening Plan
Returning to Church - What to Expect
As we continue to move forward, the requirements for temperature checks and masks are continually being re-evaluated.
At this time, we ask that those attending worship and Bible Study continue to practice social distancing and wear masks, especially if you are not yet fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Bible study will take place in several larger spaces in our sanctuary which can accommodate groups with room for safe physical distancing. This will mean that many adult classes will be combined, and teachers will rotate each week to present lessons.
Virtual worship will continue for any who are unable to attend in-person with us. Worship is livestreamed through Facebook and YouTube during the 11am Sunday service and is available shortly after via the eblast and website.

We recognize that as we continue to move toward re-opening, everyone will have different levels of comfort based on their own health and life situation. Some will continue to feel the need to wear masks and remain distant, and some will continue to engage worship virtually. We ask that everyone be respectful of one another during this time of transition and uncertainty.

Worship -
What to Expect
-
Worship will be conducted within a 30-40 minute time frame.
-
Our choir will not be singing in person during worship until a future date. We will use soloists, quartets, and small ensembles to lead music.
-
Out of continued caution, we will continue to limit person to person contact. This will require:
-
Hymnals and Bibles to be removed from pews
-
Collection baskets will be positioned by the doors for in-person giving of offerings.
-
The serving of communion will be altered and will not involve passing of the plates or intinction
-
Worship folders (bulletins) will not be used – an electronic copy will be sent in advance via eBlast and will be accessible on smart devices by a QR code in the narthex
-
All worship elements, including responsive readings, scripture, and hymns will be projected on the wall to allow everyone to fully participate in worship!
-
-
All worship will be on the floor level to allow us to continue to use video as a component of worship (similar to our virtual worship).
-
Child-care will be provided only upon request. If you require childcare for a service, please contact Pastor Kim in advance and she will work with you and our volunteers to provide care for your children.
