Our school has developed a unique thematic curriculum that offers a multi-dimensional, hands-on exploration of subjects to provide the highest level of comprehension. Our curriculum is designed to lead students to success through a pathway to early literacy that embraces the whole child. Our program offers developmentally appropriate learning opportunities to build the child’s academic skills and to prepare them for the transition into first grade and for school in general.

Our program focuses on the foundational skills for reading including print concepts, phonological awareness, phonics, word recognition, and fluency.

Our areas of instruction include English/language arts, history, and social studies, mathematics, science, health and physical education, and technology education. We follow along with the Virginia State Standards of Learning to ensure that our students receive a comprehensive education. It is important to note that kindergarten eligibility in Virginia requires students to be 5 years old by September 30.
